PrizePicks Packs is "our digital version of classic trading card packs," in PrizePicks' words. Each pack in the PrizePicks app reveals one real sports or Pokémon card.
Is PrizePicks Packs legit?
Yes. An established company runs it and the cards are real, though Packs is brand new.
- Company. PrizePicks, founded in Atlanta, announced Packs on October 21, 2026, with a quote from CEO Mike Ybarra. The App Store lists the seller as SidePrize, LLC.
- Ownership. Allwyn International AG completed its purchase of a 62.3% majority stake on January 16, 2026.
- Real items. Its product page says each digital pack holds one real card and that "graded cards ship in their original slab."
- Reviews. Trustpilot showed 1.3 out of 5 from 303 reviews on October 24, 2026, and the App Store showed 4.7 from 508K ratings. Both cover the whole app, and no recent Trustpilot review we read mentioned Packs.
- Rules. You must be a verified PrizePicks user allowed to use PrizePicks where you are.
How PrizePicks Packs works
- Pick a pack. In the PrizePicks app, choose basketball, football or Pokémon, then one of nine tiers from $1 to $2,500.
- Check the odds. Each pack shows estimated chances by value tier before you buy.
- Open it. You pay from your PrizePicks balance, and the card lands in your Locker with its fair market value locked in.
- Ship or sell back. Ship the card, or sell it back for 100% of that value. Do neither and it sells back automatically.
Does PrizePicks Packs have Pokémon cards?
Yes. Pokémon is one of three categories, next to basketball and football, and uses the same nine tiers. The headline Pokémon card at launch is a 1998 Japanese CoroCoro Promo Holo Illustrator Pikachu graded CGC MINT 9. PrizePicks does not say how many pulls are raw cards and how many are slabs.
PrizePicks Packs review: pros and cons
- Where it is stronger than Godpack. Sell-backs carry no stated fee, against Godpack's 5%. Packs go up to $2,500, against Godpack's $100. It adds basketball and football, has a large company behind it, and offers PayPal and Apple Pay cash-outs.
- What to weigh. A 24-hour decision window per its product page, shipping priced only at checkout, 1 to 3 weeks for delivery, no shipping outside the US that we found, and no refunds on opened packs.
- Odds. The help center says "all percentages are estimates and may fluctuate based on card availability." It calls outcomes "pre-committed, randomized, and verifiable," but we found no public checking tool and no published expected return.
PrizePicks Packs sell-back, fees and the 24-hour window
PrizePicks buys a card back for 100% of its fair market value, locked when you pull it, and credits your balance instantly, with no stated fee. Its product page says values come from Card Ladder, ALT or recent sales data. You can withdraw the balance by PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, a debit card or a verified bank account, with a $10 minimum, and most withdrawals process within 1–5 business days.
Godpack pays the card's value fixed at the pull minus 5%, or as little as 1.5% for VIP. On fees alone, PrizePicks Packs is the cheaper exit.
Say you pull a card valued at $40 and sell it. PrizePicks credits $40, with no fee stated to withdraw it. Godpack credits $38, and its 3% withdrawal fee leaves about $36.86. Godpack does publish a 100% expected return; we found no such figure for PrizePicks.
Timing matters more. The product page says your Locker holds a card for up to 24 hours before the sell-back is accepted for you, and the help center says "We cannot grant extensions." Godpack gives seven days.
PrizePicks Packs shipping cost and time
PrizePicks calculates shipping fees and taxes after you enter your address, and the fee depends on which partner stores the card. Cards are usually in transit within 1–2 business days, and delivery "typically takes 1 to 3 weeks once requested." We found no mention of shipping outside the US.
Godpack charges a flat $5 per card to the US or $10 to Canada, sends the card within 2–3 business days, and expects US delivery within 7 business days after that. You have seven days from the pull to request it.
Where can I buy Pokémon packs online and open them right away?
Several sites sell a digital Pokémon pack that reveals a real card on the spot. PrizePicks Packs does this inside the PrizePicks app for US users, with Pokémon and sports packs from $1 to $2,500. Godpack does it in a web browser for buyers in the US and Canada, with Pokémon-only packs from $1 to $100 and a free demo with no account. GameStop Power Packs, Courtyard and Arena Club sell graded-card packs from $25.
