Packz is an online pack-opening platform for Pokémon and sports cards. Each digital pack reveals one real card, graded or ungraded, picked at random from the posted odds, which you ship to a U.S. address or sell back for balance credit.
Is Packz legit?
Yes. Packz operates openly as a funded U.S. company with written Terms and published odds. Its reviews are weak, and several money rules are left to its discretion. Checked October 21, 2026:
- Company. The footer and Terms name Packz, Inc., under Delaware law, with support@packz.io but no street address.
- Funding. Packz was reported in April 2026 to have raised $10.7 million, from investors including Courtside Ventures, Makers Fund and The Raine Group.
- Cards. Each pack holds one card, graded or ungraded. Featured pulls are PSA and BGS slabs, and recent hits include ungraded singles.
- Reviews. The iPhone app had 4.7 stars from about 21K ratings. Its unclaimed Trustpilot page showed 1.6 out of 5 from 50 reviews, with themes of card values that felt high, per-card shipping and insurance costs, and checks before cash-out.
Is Packz a scam or safe to use?
We found nothing showing Packz is a scam. It has named investors, written Terms and a highly rated app. Pack purchases are final, refunds cover things like duplicate charges reported within 30 days, and accounts inactive for 24 months may be charged $1 a month.
Packz review: pros and cons
A polished, well-funded app whose money rules are less specific than its odds.
- Pros. Odds for every pack before you buy. Pokémon packs from $5 to $1,000, plus sports cards and watches. A highly rated iPhone app. Quick stated ship times.
- Cons. No expected-return figure, fixed sell-back rate or published shipping price. U.S. only, not Nevada. Deposits must be used before withdrawal.
- Who it suits. U.S. collectors who want sports and Pokémon, or packs above $100.
How Packz works
- Add funds. You pay in U.S. dollars. No crypto wallet is required.
- Pick a pack. Pokémon packs run Common $5, Uncommon $10, Starter $25, Trainer $50, Gym $100, Arena $250, Shiny $500 and Champion $1,000. Each page lists seven value bands and their chances.
- Open it. The card is "determined randomly based on the posted odds" and valued from recent comparable sales.
- Ship it or return it. Ship to a U.S. address or accept the offer as balance credit. Cards unclaimed for three days may be returned automatically.
Packz odds: is Packz rigged?
We found nothing showing Packz is rigged. Its Terms say results follow the posted odds, and every Pokémon pack we checked used the same seven bands: 44%, 25.6%, 19%, 9.5%, 1.5%, 0.3% and 0.1%. On each one, the 44% band sits below the pack price. Packz publishes no expected return, and we found no seed-based fairness check or outside audit.
Godpack looks similar at the bottom. Its Base tier, cards worth up to the pack price, came up 44.5% to 54.6% of the time on October 17, 2026. The difference is that every Godpack pack is set so the average card is worth the pack price. Godpack has no seed-based fairness check either.
Packz buyback, withdrawals and fees
Packz calls selling back a "Return". Its Terms make it optional, "if offered by Packz in its sole discretion", worth the offer shown at the reveal and paid as balance credit. No fixed rate is set.
Adding funds "does not make those funds withdrawable", per its Terms. Deposits must be used first, and a withdrawal can trigger identity and source-of-funds checks such as a bank statement. No withdrawal methods or fees are listed.
Godpack has a similar deposit rule and an ID check. Its sell-back pays the card's value minus 5% (as low as 1.5% for VIP), and withdrawals by bank, debit card or Venmo cost 3%.
Packz shipping: cost, time and where it ships
Packz ships to U.S. addresses only, so not to Canada, and its service is not offered in Nevada. You pay shipping, insurance, handling and any sales tax, shown at checkout. Cards typically ship within three business days after the request.
Godpack charges a flat $5 per card to the US and $10 to Canada and dispatches within 2–3 business days. The speed is similar, and Godpack's cost is known before you open.

Which fits you: worked examples
You collect sports cards as well as Pokémon
Packz fits better, with sports packs from a $25 Entry pack to a $1,000 Hall of Fame pack. Godpack has no sports cards.
You want a slab every time
Godpack's $100 Master pack holds only PSA and CGC slabs. Packz cards may be graded or ungraded, but only Packz sells $500 and $1,000 Pokémon packs.
You have $25 to try a few packs
On Godpack, $25 buys twenty-five $1 Starter packs. On Packz it buys five $5 Common packs. Most $1 Starter cards are worth less than Godpack's $5 shipping fee, so you would sell those back and ship the better pulls.
You want the exit cost before you buy
Sell back a $100 card on Godpack at the standard 5% fee and $95 lands in your balance. Withdrawing costs 3%, so $92.15 reaches your bank. On Packz the Return is set at the reveal and no withdrawal fees are listed, so you cannot do this math in advance.
You live in Canada or Nevada
Packz is not offered outside the U.S. or in Nevada. Godpack ships to Canada for $10 per card plus any import duties.

How to check Packz yourself before you deposit
- Confirm the company. Find Packz, Inc. in the footer and Terms, and note the 30-day window to opt out of arbitration.
- Check you are eligible. You must be 18 or older and physically in an eligible U.S. state. Nevada is excluded.
- Read one pack's odds. Find the seven-band Pack Odds Distribution and compare its most likely band with the pack price.
- Price the exit. See what shipping, insurance and tax cost on one card, and look at the Return offer after your first reveal.
- Test a withdrawal early. Deposits must be used first, so expect identity checks and try one small withdrawal.
The honest part
On Packz or Godpack, you don't choose the card, and the most common result on both sites is a card worth no more than the pack price. Godpack's 100% expected return describes the average across the pool, and any single pack can be worth more or less than you paid.
Both sites are for adults: 18 or older, and the age of majority where you live. Open packs for collecting and fun, not to make money.
