The Pokémon Company does not publish pull rates. TCGplayer's figures come from its Authentication Center's openings, with 95% confidence ranges; the fan data was compiled by a collector and reported by Dot Esports. Specific-card rates assume every card of a rarity is equally common.
Prismatic Evolutions pull rates are estimates of how often each rarity turns up in a booster pack of the English Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions set, released January 17, 2025. They come from card sites and collectors counting the cards in large numbers of opened packs. No official rates exist, so every figure carries a margin of error.
What are the pull rates for Prismatic Evolutions?
The best-measured Prismatic Evolutions pull rates are one Special Illustration Rare per 45 packs on average, one Master Ball pattern card per 20 and one Hyper Rare per 180, from TCGplayer's count of more than 1,200 packs. A separate fan sample of about 2,700 packs found one Special Illustration Rare per 53. The set also has rare god packs; see which sets have god packs and what a god pack is, or open a free demo in the pack simulator.
TCGplayer found Special Illustration Rares about twice as common as in 2024's regular sets, but its summary warns "the math looks good, but it won't feel that way": with 32 of them and no Illustration Rares, the card you want is still far away. Some packs also hold three, so the 1 in 45 is a ratio of cards to packs, and fewer than 1 in 45 packs actually contain one.

How many packs to pull a Prismatic Evolutions card?
These examples use TCGplayer's rates. Each pack is independent, so a long run without a hit does not make the next pack more likely to have one.
One Elite Trainer Box
Nine packs average about 0.2 Special Illustration Rares, so the chance of at least one is at most about 18%. The chance of at least one Master Ball card is about 37%.
Chasing Umbreon ex
At about 1 in 1,440, your chance of the Special Illustration Rare Umbreon ex (161/131) in 100 packs is about 6.7%. You would need about 1,000 packs for an even chance, while the single sold for about $1,263 near mint in mid-October 2026.
A specific Master Ball card
At about 1 in 1,362 packs, a particular Master Ball card takes about 940 packs for an even chance, close to the odds for a specific Special Illustration Rare.
Every Eeveelution Special Illustration Rare
Dot Esports points out that at 1 in 53, even pulling a new Eeveelution every time would take about 477 packs for all nine. Duplicates and other hits make the real number far higher.
Prismatic Evolutions god packs and demi-god packs
A Prismatic Evolutions god pack holds Eevee (Master Ball pattern), Special Illustration Rare Eevee ex and the Special Illustration Rare of each Eeveelution. A demi-god pack holds any three Special Illustration Rares. TCGplayer opened no god packs and suspects two demi-god packs in its sample, so nobody can say how often either appears. In mid-October 2026, a god pack's ten cards added up to about $3,290 at TCGplayer market prices for ungraded near-mint copies.
More about Prismatic Evolutions pull rates
Why the estimates differ
Smaller samples swing more. TCGplayer's Special Illustration Rare rate is 2.22% ± 0.81%, so 1 in 45 and 1 in 53 both sit inside its range. Some community guides even give a rate for Illustration Rares, a rarity the set does not have, so check how any figure was measured.
Where Prismatic Evolutions packs come from
The official product list has no booster box. Packs come in Elite Trainer Boxes, booster bundles, mini tins, a surprise box and collections such as the Binder Collection.
The Japanese version
Prismatic Evolutions is the English counterpart of Japan's Terastal Festival ex, whose god pack holds the Special Art Rare of Eevee and every Eeveelution.
How to work out your odds for one card
- Find the card's rate. Look up the rate for one specific card of its rarity, such as 1 in 1,440 packs for one Special Illustration Rare.
- Turn it into a chance per pack. Divide 1 by the number of packs: 1 ÷ 1,440 is about 0.07% per pack.
- Apply it to your packs. Your chance of at least one copy in n packs is 1 − (1 − p)ⁿ. For 100 packs at 1 in 1,440, that is about 6.7%.
- Compare with the single. Check what the card sells for on its own, and decide whether opening packs or buying the single suits you.
Prefer published odds? How Godpack works
Booster packs make you estimate. A Godpack pack works the other way round: each holds one real Pokémon card, a Near Mint raw card or a PSA or CGC slab, and shows its full odds and value range before you open. On October 17, 2026, Godpack's pools held 179 Prismatic Evolutions cards, mostly raw cards in the $1 Starter pack.
| Card | Grade and value |
|---|---|
| Pikachu ex 179/131, Hyper Rare | PSA 10, $320 |
| Glaceon ex 150/131, SIR | PSA 9, $245 |
| Flareon, Master Ball pattern | PSA 10, $217 |
| Dragapult ex 165/131, SIR | PSA 10, $197.01 |
- Prices: Starter $1, Trainer $10, Arena $25, Master $100; the demo is free.
- Shipping: $5 per card in the US, $10 to Canada.
- Selling back: card value minus a 5% fee, lower for VIP members.
Odds you can read are still odds
If you want one particular Prismatic Evolutions card, buying the single is almost always cheaper than opening packs until it appears. The same goes for Godpack: every pack is set to a 100% expected return, so the average card across the pool is worth the pack price, but any single pack can be worth more or less than you paid, and most pulls land in the lower tiers of the odds table.
Real packs are for people 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if higher. Open them for collecting and fun, not to make money.
